Do I have what it takes to be a writer?
I had the same question. I knew I wanted to write. I thought about it every day. I wanted to do for readers what books had done for me. But did I have any talent? Eighty published books later I still doubt, but I’ve learned how to write in the midst of doubt. Whether you’re starting or established, I can help answer the questions you’re asking and help you get from where you are to where you want to be.
What is your writing goal?
Do you long to see your byline on a published story? Do you ache to hold the book you’ve written in your hands? That’s where I was three decades ago. If you will let me come alongside you and show you the path I took, I can help you take your writing to the next level.
What can your writing advice do for me?
More than 40 years ago, I saw four words on an evaluation form. A journalist I respected wrote the words I still recall in red ink, down to the punctuation marks. He wrote, “Hey, you can write!” He gave me confidence and a vision for writing I didn’t have. He saw potential in me. If there is something inside that will not give up the writing dream, I can validate that and help you take the next step in your writing journey.
Who is Chris and how can he help me write?
I have had 80 books published in adult fiction, children’s fiction, film novelizations, essays, and biography. I’ve interviewed bestselling authors for more than 30 years. I had a secret dream to write and I worked hard and made lots of mistakes. Mentors spoke into my life and answered questions and gave me their wisdom. It’s time for you to receive some of that encouragement and hope that was given to me.
